Buffy The Vampire Slayer was defined by the central role of Buffy, the protagonist and titular vampire slayer who audiences couldn’t get enough of. For seven seasons, Sarah Michelle Gellar played Buffy, and it’s almost impossible to envision another actress taking on the role. While recasting Buffy for a Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot is a fun exercise, it’s unlikely that a new series would retread ground from the original series, as those episodes and seasons are iconic.
