The Golden Bachelor earned a coveted Emmy award nomination in its inaugural season, but does the reality TV series thats caused so much controversy deserve it? When The Golden Bachelor season 1 was floated as an idea several years ago, many were excited at the prospect of a Bachelor Nation show more heavily focused on someone of a mature age. Typically, Bachelor seasons that featured a lead in their late 20s to early 30s would be filled with 20-something contestants who werent serious about finding a long-term relationship. For the show to work as intended, older cast members are better.
